The YWCA relies on the support of Members to help hundreds of women and families each year across its core programs.
What does being a YWCA Member mean?
For $30 per year ($15 for seniors, $60 for families), members can show support of all YWCA services and change the lives of women and children in need. YWCA Members receive special news and updates, and are invited throughout the year to attend events and connect with others who share the same goal to help the YWCA succeed. Partners in Action
In addition to YWCA memberships, we work alongside several local businesses and groups each year to fulfill our mission, called Partners in Action. As our founders knew in 1888, we’re better together. All of our lives and futures are changed for the better when we help women and families reach their goals and find new hope for their future.
As Partners in Action, community groups and businesses across the St. Joseph metro region roll up their sleeves to help the YWCA throughout the year. Their dedication and interest in how we help women and families is part of the longstanding strength of the YWCA organization.
Your group or place of business can become a YWCA Partner in Action in several ways:
- Organize a donation day to collect cash donations for the YWCA or to collect items we need for our Shelter and the families we serve. (Such as blankets, toys or toiletries).
- Take a tour of the YWCA to become more acquainted with how we help the community, and then share this information with others.
- Sponsor a special event, such as the Gardener’s Festival or Women of Excellence.
